How to Deal With a Slow Running computer
Computer Training Objectives
Goal: Provide users with the tools to clean up an operating system / hard drive which has acquired “junk” and doesn’t perform as it should.
Audience: Users with enough computer experience to follow these instructions without getting themselves in to too much trouble. This is a user that knows when to step into the waters and when to stay dry.
Prerequisites: Trainee should have ability to work through the computers system, control panel, start orb and search bar.
Methods: The training will include lecture using power point, written test, and closing survey.
Learning and Performance Outcome: After the training, participants should be able to effectively clean and restore a computer’s hard drive and operating system. User should be able to:

define BIOS and what it does

effectively work through steps to prepare the computer for cleanup

clean the disk
-
defrag the disk
-
run updates
-
perform these tasks in the correct order

know how to research whatever and whenever is needed
Performance Measures: User may want to be proficient in all these areas before starting the task of cleaning. If not, be proficient in knowledge of the system restore option.
