Mac Apple Licensing Blog:
1. The Mac App Store Policies:
You can use your Apple ID and password to sign in, buy content, and authorize items you've purchased in the iTunes Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store.
Your Apple ID must be a valid email address (such as johnappleseed@icloud.com). Keep the following in mind when you create your password:
Your password must be at least eight characters including a number, an uppercase letter, and a lowercase letter.
You can't use spaces, the same character three times in a row, your Apple ID, or a password you've used in the last year.
An individual must be over the age of 13 to create an Apple ID.
Purchases made from different Apple ID’s cannot be merged.
You can change your Apple ID, password, or personal information at the My Apple ID page by clicking Manage your Apple ID. Changes you make to your Apple ID while you're in iTunes, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store are recognized by other apps that use the same Apple ID (such as the Apple Online Store or iPhoto). You may need to verify your information the next time you use your Apple ID to purchase something in another app.
The primary address for your Apple ID is used to choose the correct country for you when you activate your iPhone and when you're in the Mac App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store, and apps that use the same Apple ID.
About your Apple ID
Your Apple ID is the account that you use to access Apple services such as the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and more. It includes the email address and password that you use to sign in, as well as all the contact, payment, and security details you'll use across Apple services.
If you’re not sure if you have an Apple ID, first try to find your Apple ID.
Using multiple Apple IDs might be confusing when you access purchased content or when you use certain Apple services. You only need one Apple ID. This ID is the direct link to associated user. It also allows one to install the software on any and all computers which are owned by the user.
A special Volume Purchase Program is available for businesses with multiple computers.
Sign in to the Mac App Store
Open the Mac App Store.
From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose Store > Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password, and click Sign In.
If you're on a device with iOS 8 or earlier, or OS X Yosemite or earlier and you have two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, you might need to enter your verification code with your password. When you sign in, you'll automatically get a verification code from your trusted device with iOS 9 or OS X El Capitan. Type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field.
2. Methods of payment:
Your Apple ID is the personal account you use to access Apple services like the App Store, iTunes Store, iCloud, iMessage, the Apple Online Store, FaceTime, and more. When you change your credit card or billing address in the iTunes Store, you also update your information for other services that use your Apple ID, such as the App Store and iCloud.
Use your Mac or PC
Click to open iTunes and sign in from the Account Information page, or use the steps below:
Open iTunes.
Click Sign In and enter your Apple ID.

3. Click your name and select Account Info from the drop-down menu. You'll be asked to sign in again.

Then use these steps to update your payment information:
1. From the Account Information page, click Edit to the right of Payment Type. You can see which payment methods the iTunes Store accepts in the Payment Type section. If you're using Family Sharing, only the family organizer can update the payment information. Learn more about payment information and Family Sharing. (If the software you are obtaining is free, select none in the payment area.)

2. Change or remove your information. To remove the payment method, select None.

3. Click Done.
After you change your payment information, the iTunes Store places a temporary authorization hold on your credit card to verify your updated account information.
Change your Family Sharing payment information
If you’re using Family Sharing, and you're the family organizer, you need to use a credit or debit card as your payment method. You can’t set your payment information to None. Only the Family Organizer can edit payment information for a family group. If you're not the organizer, you'll see this message: "The payment method for your Family is managed by [Apple ID]."
Two other modes of software purchasing are going to a computer service store, such as Best Buy, or Office Depot. One is allowed to purchase computer, as well as software directly from the retailer. Another mode is doing a search on the web, using Tiger Direct, Amazon or various other retailers. PCs and accessories are plentiful in these areas. The prices vary between the retailers, and this makes the completion worth looking at.
My thoughts on the App Store at first were not very pleasant. The malarkey needed to get in was beyond my time and effort, however, since I’ve been in and using it, it is convenient having everything all in one space.
